Anime keycaps

3AM Your desk is dark except for the glow of your monitor. You’re rewatching Attack on Titan for the 3rd time when it hits you—your keyboard looks like it belongs in a corporate office, not an otaku’s battlestation.

What if I told you there’s a secret level to keyboard customization? That beneath these cheap plastic keys lies a world where

  • Every keystroke crackles with anime protagonist energy

  • Your WASD keys whisper “Plus Ultra” when you game

  • Your keyboard becomes a conversation starter at every LAN party

After testing 52 keycap sets (and nearly getting kicked out for the noise), we found a few legendary anime sets that’ll make your rig look like it stepped out of Akihabara. And the best part is that each of them is available on Amazon.

Warning: After seeing #4, you’ll never look at your current keys the same way again. Scroll at your own risk. ⚠️

1. XVX Retro PBT Keycaps

This Graffiti Style Keycap Set gives your keyboard a cool and colorful look. The design is inspired by street art and graffiti, so every key looks bold and eye-catching. It’s a fun way to make your setup feel more personal and creative.

The keycaps are made using dye-sublimation printing, which means the colors go deep into the plastic. This keeps the artwork from fading or rubbing off, even if you use your keyboard every day.

Each keycap is made of high-quality PBT plastic, which is stronger and more durable than regular plastic (like ABS). They have a soft matte texture that feels good to type on and doesn’t get shiny or greasy over time.

These keycaps are shaped in the Cherry profile, which is a comfortable design that’s great for typing or gaming. It’s easy on your fingers, even if you use your keyboard for hours.

You’ll get 134 keycaps in the box—that means it can fit many different keyboard types, including 60%, 65%, 75%, TKL, 96%, and full-size layouts. It works with any keyboard that uses MX-style switches (the kind with a cross-shaped stem).

The package also includes a keycap puller to help you swap out your old keys. Note: the keyboard shown in pictures is just for display—it’s not included.

These look just as good in person as they do in the photos. They feel great, sound great, look amazing, and are priced at a solid point. After switching out my current keycaps with these, I sent a photo to my dad and he asked me to send a video of me using the keyboard because he didn't believe it was a real photo.

Good quality and very nice "matte" feel and look. It comes with a couple extra key styles so you can pick which you prefer. I would purchase from this seller again.

These keys look just as good in person as they do in the photos. The printing one the keycaps stands up to scrutiny up close. The plastic feels good on my fingertips and the keystrokes are satisfying on my mech. This set looks great in my black case board and in super happy with them..

2.Gliging Translucent Keycaps

This H-anime themed keycap set is made for fans who like their setups a little more… expressive. Every key is covered with high-detail black-and-white anime art, full of bold faces and emotional expressions pulled straight from the pages of spicy manga. The design wraps around all sides of each key, creating a full-on visual blast across your keyboard.

Made from thick PBT plastic with an anti-grease coating, these keycaps are built to last. They’re durable, feel solid when typing, and won’t get shiny or slippery over time. The high-end dye-sublimation printing means the art won’t fade, even if you’re using your keyboard every day for gaming, work, or just vibing in your favorite anime-themed setup.

The keycaps are shaped in the classic OEM profile, which has a curved, slightly taller design that feels comfortable under your fingers. Whether you’re writing, gaming, or just admiring your desk, it gives you a smooth and natural typing feel. With 108 keys included, this set works with most mechanical keyboards—60%, 80%, TKL, and full-size layouts. If your board uses MX-style switches (those cross-shaped stems), you’re all set.

Pair these keycaps with an RGB mechanical keyboard and watch the backlight glow through the gaps—it looks even wilder in the dark, giving your setup that over-the-top otaku energy. Whether you’re customizing your space or looking for a bold gift for an anime-loving friend, this set definitely makes a statement.

Please note: this is a keycap set only. Keyboard shown in the images is for display purposes and not included.

Really good quality, none of them were blurry but wasn't a fan of the "~" key design so I changed it out with the NUM key. But worth it for degenerates.

I bought the set that Amazon's description states as "Gliging Keycaps PBT Dye Sublimation XDA Profile 135 Keycap Set" and found a few, minor issues after receiveing them: turns out, there are only 131 caps included in the set (not 135) and this is even indicated in a sticker on the cardboard box as shown in the first picture. The package had two "seals" that looked pretty old and one came already broken, it even looked like it ahd another one on top, but that one wasn't present, only the broken one. A few of the caps have an off-center print, so the face or character is missaligned and looks kinda weird. I'm used to buy only keycaps from "designers" or brands like GMK, Signature Plastics and so on, this is my first low budget keycap set but their quality is quite acceptable for the price, they're are thick enough and would dare to say they look and feel even better than the mediocre caps found in keyboards from comercial brands like Razer, Corsair, HyperX and others. The only thing I'd complain about, is the printing, it does not looks as smoth as it should, but looks durable enough for having fun and showing off to yor weeb friends.
EDIT: The seller was really kind and sent me the missing keycaps, besides a keycap puller and a switch puller (that were not present when I bought the caps) at no extra cost, I really apreciate it and I'm thankful for that!

Keycaps work great until after about 2 weeks, the keys are getting very sticky. Highly recommend though if you’re a degen.

3. XVX PBT Japanese Keycaps

This cherry blossom-themed keycap set brings a soft, artistic vibe to your mechanical keyboard. Designed with a classic red plum blossom print over clean white keys, it’s perfect for fans of elegant anime setups or anyone who wants their desk to feel a little more peaceful and unique. The artwork is printed using five-sided dye-sublimation, which means the design wraps around the entire key and won’t fade over time, even with daily use.

Made from high-quality PBT plastic, these keycaps are stronger and more durable than standard ABS keycaps. They resist oil and shine, keeping that fresh matte texture even after long gaming or work sessions. The double-shot shine-through feature allows your keyboard’s RGB lighting to shine clearly through the legends, giving your setup a bright, glowing look—especially in the dark.

These keycaps follow the Cherry profile, which is known for its comfortable and smooth typing feel. Whether you’re working all day or gaming all night, your fingers won’t feel tired. It’s a design made for both style and function.

I got these mainly for a work board I was putting together and I am consistently impressed with how much I have come to like them. Paired them with Akko Penguin silent tactile switches and it sometimes I have a hard time leaving the board at work! They're double-shot, so I am not too worried about the legends wearing over time or becoming faded. The translucency is subtle but not overwhelming. Lighting comes out the best from the sides of the keys versus the top, but this looks still looks really solid and classy. In the mechanical keyboard sphere, you can do a lot worse for this price. I am pretty impressed with how these look, sound and feel all for a price less than $20.

The legends are sharp and well-defined, making them easy to read. The best part is how well they let my keyboard’s RGB lighting shine through—almost every key glows beautifully. I will say, some of the special keys with the red leaves design on them are slightly covered by the design print. (buttons like shift, tab, windows key, etc.) This makes them a tad but hard to read. The transparency on the rest of the keys is vibrant leaving this set looking very sharp in quality. They fit perfectly on my switches and feel great to type on. They offer a slightly higher pitch sound than my doubleshot pudding keycaps, but still satisfying nontheless. If you’re looking for keycaps that elevate your RGB setup while maintaining a sleek look, these are worth the money. Their functionality is great with no issues. Overall, these are a really solid choice for the money!

The box was kind of ripped like when you open the Amazon box and then you get to the real box where the keyboards and it was just kind of ripped so I got worried I opened it. It was perfectly fine. It came with everything my new favorite keyboard.SO MANY settings When I say so many there’s a whole bunch
Hernan
unas keycaps muy buenas, pero lo unico no malo, toca con un teclado que tenga las teclas muy unidas ya que se pierde la gracia de estas mismas, pero de resto son espectaculares, auqnue seria bueno que las telcas se pudieran ver
MrWereWolph
Excellent keycaps: ensure your keyboard switches have clear bottom and top housing to get the best result for these keycaps. Otherwise, you may have a keyboard that can only illuminate part of the keycaps.

Used on Aula F99 Pro. Keys are slightly smaller but barely noticeable when looking. Once adjusting them a bit, I don’t even notice when typing.Though not transparent, colors do slightly shine through the white, which is nice.

Feel great, look great. And I love the fact that there are letter cut outs at the bottom of each keycap.

My grandson loves them
Marc
Key caps are fine. Would be good to have a few more sizes for some keys as I was not able to replace 100% of the ones on my corsair k95 platinum. Like the space does not fit.
